Paul Mays presents Gardening with Fungi: How to incorporate mushrooms into the home garden.

February 24 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Free

Up next, on February 24th, Paul Mays presents Gardening with Fungi: How to incorporate mushrooms into the home garden.

Learn basic, low tech, techniques to incorporate edible mushrooms into underused areas of the home garden. Not only can these fungi add additional nutrition to your plate, but will improve your gardens soil quality and can keep materials from entering our waste stream.
Paul Mays began his gardening journey over fifteen years ago in a small backyard garden. Along his path he has studied permaculture, food forestry, landscape design, composting, alternative building, and mushroom cultivation to name a few. Mays worked as Director of Permaculture at SixTwelve, a local non-profit, for six years. He recently began his own business, Blue House Urban Farm, where the focus is on landscape design and installation, flower farming with his partner, and native and edible plant propagation.
Hope to see you all there! Doors open at 6:30, speaker begins at 7:00. We conclude the meeting with door prizes!
